A Warm Welcome
To our Watchlytes Primary School Website!
Hello, I am Nalisha Patel, headteacher of Watchlytes Primary School, a one-form entry primary school in Panshanger, Welwyn Garden City. We are a friendly, warm and proud community. We celebrate success, learn from mistakes and strive to ensure the children are happy, confident learners.
We work tirelessly to ensure that we have high expectations in all areas of the school, and provide an enabling learning environment developing creativity, curiosity and collaboration among our children and staff. Parents acknowledge the efforts staff and governors go to and really support our learning
Our curriculum is designed to enable our children to be as successful as possible as they progress through the years at Watchlytes, and we make links across our curriculum. Our curriculum is driven by three key themes; vocabulary development, opportunities and possibilities and independence.

Our Values
Our school values are so important to us and underpin everything we do:
“Respect, Kindness and Determination”
Our School
Our Community
Our school provides a caring, supportive environment for children to develop a love for learning and respect and understanding for others.
The school has a great community spirit with a real ‘family-feel’. We believe that working in partnership with parents is an essential aspect of providing the best education and support for our students. We encourage parents to become involved in our school activities, such as parent cafes, assemblies and productions, and parent-teacher associations. This involvement can help to create a sense of community and support for our students.

Curriculum
